Some Christmas/New Year surprises :)

Hi there, folks!!

As Christmas/New Year time is approaching fast, there would be some surprises for you..

The first one is a real surprise, so I can`t tell anything more now, but I think that classic movies lovers will be delighted....just wait until something like 20th December or so

And the second thing, right after New Year I am to give one of you, my dear visitors, 1 month free Premium Rapidshare account. I am thinking of some kind of competition or something like that, just to make my site more recogniseable and gain more and more visitors and classic movies lovers...Maybe you got some suggestions what kind of stuff this could be?

Please leave your thoughts in comments, please!

maybe questions or spot a scene from a movie?

love it. although it could use more dudley moore's stuff or a remake section - the originals of all the remakes we are having at the moment eg heartbreak kid...

This is an absolutely incredible site.

I've only just stumbled in, but already I'm awestruck. I've been looking for a site like this for some time. Straightforward, quality content, rare uploads, consistent updates...fantastic.

Just leaving a note to signal my gratitude. Please drop me a line if there's anything I can do to help out.

Oh man...

Luis Buñuel, Barbara Stanwyck, and I'm only on the second page?

Did you see Buñuel's 'Susana' was just reissued on DVD?

I'll be spending a lot of time here. Again, thanks.

Movie-quotes can easily be found, so I would agree with morpheuse; scenes from movies.

Excellent job, by the way.

Man, are you kidding me? You have one of the most precious blogs on the internet and you want to make a competition for a free account? Come on, we should pay for the great job you have done! I'm not familiar with american old movies but i discovered in your blog Chaplin's masterpieces (City Lights and Great Dictator) i am really grateful for that. Please upload more Charlie Chaplin stuff!

Keep uploading those dusty gems of the past! You have done awsome job so far!

As for the re-uploads: sorry, but at this time I am 2500 km from my home computer and I will do some re-uploading not faster than before January 6th, just be patient

And about your requests: Kind Hearts and Coronets 2 CD version will be uploaded in January, the same for To Have and Have Not and Sweet Smell of Success, other movies, maybe later

Start of the competition would be right after Christmas and before New Year Eve

You are truly doing a wonderful service by providing a "reference" whereby these old films can be saved and appreciated. Films where acting and plot were foremost and no special effects were needed. I take my hat off to you. One such film that I would like to see here is "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" from 1952 with Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner and Susan Hayward.

Best wishes for the holidays.
