Description:Larry Ballentine is a philanderer who is on trial for the murder of his girlfriend, Verna Carlson. On the stand, he recounts that he had been married for about five years when he decided to run off to Montreal with Janice Bell, someone he had been spending his Saturdays with for several months. His wife Greta was aware of his assignations and convinced him to go to California with her. He stayed on the straight and narrow for a good six months but then took up with co-worker, Carlson. They too planned on running off together but two deaths and a few lies to the police have landed Ballentine in his current circumstance. Having told the entire story to the jury, their verdict is all that remains...
