Description: In 1942, French engineer and Resistant cell leader Philippe Gerbier is arrested and sent to a concentration camp. He manages to escape, and together with Felix Lepercq and Resistance hit-man Claude "The Mask" Ullmann, they kidnap the traitor that gave him away to the Germans and execute him. Gerbier travels to London to discuss Allied logistical support for the Resistance; meanwhile, Felix is captured by the Germans and tortured. Resistance members Mathilde, Guillaume "Bison" Vermersch, and the Mask try unsuccessfully to rescue him. But Jean François Jardie, brother of Resistance commandant Luc Jardie, sacrifices himself to deliver a cyanide pill to Felix in prison. As the months go by the organization continues its clandestine operations until the day a captured member, tortured by the Germans, becomes a threat to the mission...

Description: Max, an old gangster, and his buddy Riton have got away with 50-million francs in gold bars. They think they ought to retire now, but Riton's girl-friend is tired of him, and has a new protector, Angelo, who is the boss of a rival gang. Through her, Angelo learns about his rival's "grisbi" (loot) and plots to get it. So he kidnaps Max's partner. Max asks some of his friends for help but then gets the message he can exchange the money for his partner.

Description: Three prisoners break from the prison and the notorious Gustave 'Gu' Minda is the only one that survives. He heads to Paris where he meets his lover Manouche and his friend and Manouche's bodyguard Alban that take him to a hideout. Meanwhile the smart Commissary Blot is investigating a shooting plotted by the mobster Jo Ricci and the gangster Jacques the Lawyer that is murdered. Gu decides to travel to Italy but he is short of money; his friend Orloff invites him to participate in the heist of an armored truck with his friend Paul Ricci and the gangsters Antoine and Pascal in Marseille. The talkative Inspector Fardiano is responsible for the investigation, but the persistent Commissary Blot believes that Gu is behind the scheme.
