Description: When her father is hanged for shooting his wife and her lover, half-breed Pearl Chavez goes to live with distant relatives in Texas. Welcomed by Laura Belle and her elder lawyer son Jesse, she meets with hostility from the ranch-owner himself, wheelchair-bound Senator Jackson McCanles, and with lustful interest from womanising, unruly younger son Lewt. Almost at once, already existing family tensions are exacerbated by her presence and the way she is physically drawn to Lewt.

Description: After selling his car manufacturing company, retired Sam Dodsworth and his wife Fran take a trip to Europe. Sam sees their extended trip as a great adventure and an opportunity to learn more about the world. Fran sees it as an opportunity to go out dancing and have dinner parties. Now that that they have more time to spend together, they begin to grow apart. Fran is desperate to be seen as an attractive young woman and begins affairs with a series of men.
