Description: Rex Harrison stars as an English aristocrat and conductor who, despite being madly in love with his wife (Linda Darnell) realizes as a result of several misunderstandings that she may be cheating on him. He imagines his wife was consorting with his secretary, Tony (Kurt Krueger). As he conducts the orchestra in concert that evening, Harrison imagines several scenarios - one in which he kills his wife and cleverly frames Tony for the murder; one in which he pays her off; and one where he challenges Tony to a game of Russian roulette. Of course, when he actually tries to carry them out, things don't go quite as he imagined.

Dual audio track information

This movie contains two audio tracks, one is original English, and the other is audio commentary by Sturges scholars James Harvey, Diane Jacobs and Brian Henderson. You can use VLC Player to easily choose between any of audio tracks or you can use VirtualDub to get rid of any of audio tracks by following these steps:

1. Download Virtualdub from that WWW address:

http://www.virtualdub.org/download.html

2. Download your version, unzip the files, start the program by running VirtualDub.exe

3. From “File” tab choose “Open video file” and find your dual audio file on your HDD (or you can simply drag and drop movie file into program window)

4. If any warining window pops up, just click on “OK”

5. From “Video” tab choose “Direct stream copy” option (very important, do not miss that step)

6. From “Audio” tab choose which audio stream you want to use, usually English is Stream 1, and commentary is on Stream 2, but to be 100 % sure use preview option that VD provides by clicking on “Play” button on the butttom of program window when video file is loaded. Of course you can get rid of original audio and save the file with commentary that way too, just by choosing other stream

7. From “File” tab choose “Save AVI file”, put movie name and choose destination folder and then click on OK. Program will start its job after no more than 2 minutes your only one audio track movie should be ready.

just to tel you, seems to me that you have got some not printable characters into some file names (on your PC or on the file sharing server) I had to rename all the . rar files to get the full movie. Hope this will help you and others - thanks for the hard work

Hi, just discovered your great site right now :)
I use VirtualDub the way you described it very well (to remove a dual language and keep only one language) . Also I use it for other purposes, for example :

1) Audio Skew correction : it allows to correct the lip sync in some avi's where the lips are moving a bit before (or after) what we hear, this being done in Direct Stream Copy mode (absolututely no sound re-encoding)

2) Another use of Virtualdub is this :
Imagine you got a movie in avi #1 with good image resolution and language #1
Also you got the same movie in another avi #2 with poor image resolution and language #2

What you would like to do is : create an avi with the good image resolution (from avi #1) associated with language #2 (from avi #2) because language #2 is your native language.

Then you can do all this with VirtualDub, without any re-encoding, so all what follows can be done very quickly without any image or sound loss :

* Extract the movie part only (no sound) from avi #1
* Extract the sound part (no image) from avi #2
* Combine both in a new avi, youre done !

Now back to your site and its treasures :)
