Description: Homicide Capt. Finlay finds evidence that one or more of a group of demobilized soldiers is involved in the death of Joseph Samuels. Description: An American destroyer captain and a German U-Boat commander play a deadly game of cat and mouse in the South Atlantic during World War II. Both are highly experienced - Capt. Both are quite good at anticipating the other's next move. Von Stolberg is cynical however, having spent too much time killing and disliking his Nazi masters. Description: In California, the ambulance driver Frank Jessup and his partner head to a mansion in Beverly Hills to assist the millionaire Mrs. Catherine Tremayne that was poisoned with gas, but her doctor had already medicated her. When Frank is leaving the house, he meets Catherine's twenty year-old stepdaughter Diane Tremayne that follows him in her Jaguar. After-hours, they go to a restaurant and Frank finds an excuse to his girlfriend Mary Wilton to not visit her and he dates Diane and they go to a night-club. Diane has a crush on Frank and on the next morning, she meets Mary and tells to her what Frank and she did. Frank and Mary are saving money to open a garage since he is an efficient mechanic. Diane convinces Frank to be better paid working as a chauffeur for her family. Soon Frank learns that Diane hates her stepmother and he decides to quit his job. But Diane seduces him and he stay with the Tremayne family. When Mr. and Mrs. Tremayne have a fatal car accident, Diane and Frank become the prime suspect of the police and they go to court charged of murder. Now their only chance is the strategy of the efficient defense attorney Fred Barrett.

* One Moment's Inattention – Otto Preminger's "Angel Face" - Tag Gallagher's 26-minutes video-essay from 2005, released as an extra on the Kinowelt DVD edition of Preminger's movie. The inattentive moment from the title refers to Robert Mitchum's falling to the spell of Jean Simmons which will complice him into a story of jealousy and murder. Gallagher's video starts with fast paced provision of the production's context. See the following quotes from the introductory scenes:

Description: Harry Powell (Robert Mitchum) marries and murders widows for their money, believing he is helping God do away with women who arouse men's carnal instincts. Arrested for auto theft, he shares a cell with condemned killer Ben Harper (Peter Graves) and tries to get him to reveal the whereabouts of the $10,000 he stole. Only Ben's nine-year-old son, John and four-year-old daughter, Pearl know the money is in Pearl's doll and they have sworn to their father to keep this secret. After Ben is executed, Preacher goes to Cresap's Landing to court Ben's widow, Willa (Shelley Winters). He overwhelms her with his Scripture quoting, sermons and hymns, and she agrees to marry him. On their wedding night he tells her they will never have sex because it is sinful. When the depressed, confused, guilty woman catches him trying to force Pearl to reveal the whereabouts of the money, she is resigned to her fate but the children manage to escape downriver, with Preacher following close behind.

Dual audio track information

This movie contains two audio tracks, one is original English, and the other is commentary featuring second-unit director Terry Sanders, film critic F. X. Feeney, archivist Robert Gitt, and author Preston Neal Jones. You can use VLC Player to easily choose between any of audio tracks or you can use VirtualDub to get rid of any of audio tracks by following these steps:

1. Download Virtualdub from that WWW address:

2. Download your version, unzip the files, start the program by running VirtualDub.exe

3. From “File” tab choose “Open video file” and find your dual audio file on your HDD (or you can simply drag and drop movie file into program window)

4. If any warining window pops up, just click on “OK”

5. From “Video” tab choose “Direct stream copy” option (very important, do not miss that step)

6. From “Audio” tab choose which audio stream you want to use, usually English is Stream 1, and commentary is on Stream 2, but to be 100 % sure use preview option that VD provides by clicking on “Play” button on the bottom of program window when video file is loaded. Of course you can get rid of original audio and save the file with commentary that way too, just by choosing other stream

7. From “File” tab choose “Save AVI file”, put movie name and choose destination folder and then click on OK. Program will start its job after no more than 2 minutes your only one audio track movie should be ready.
