Description: Tension is high aboard the destroyer USS Bedford as it tracks a Soviet submarine in the North Atlantic. Capt. Eric Finlander runs a taut, disciplined ship and his stern approach isn't appreciated or understood by the lone civilian on board, journalist Ben Munceford. The sub they are tracking can only stay under for a maximum of 24 hours and Finlander has every intention of being right there when it has to surface. With the ship on what is essentially a constant war footing, the officers and men are always on edge. Mistakes are inevitable...

Description: A US Army Colonel, William Edwards, is tasked with investigating the conduct of Major Harry Cargill while incarcerated during the Korean War. Cargill is accused of aiding and abetting the enemy by admitting to atrocities and then preaching communist propaganda to the men in his hut. Edwards' job is to make a recommendation to General Connors on what, if any, charges should be laid. The scuttlebutt is that Cargill is guilty and it's all an open and shut case. Edwards isn't convinced that Cargill is guilty of anything but the case is all the more complicated because the General's son was also in the same prisoners hut but died during captivity. Oddly, Cargill will do nothing to defend himself and as Edwards reviews the evidence, he becomes convinced that the men involved are hiding something...

Description: Pale-skinned, blue-eyed, but reared by the fearsome Apache Indians, John Russell is a white man who has embraced the ways of his fellow Apaches. Description: At the height of the cold war, a weakened President and a popular four-star general face off in a battle for control of the US government. President Jordan Lyman has successfully negotiated an arms reduction treaty with the Soviet Union, but his measure is unpopular and does not sit well with General James Mattoon Scott, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who has been quite vocal in his opposition. Marine Corps Col. Jiggs Casey, who works for Scott, comes to the conclusion that senior military officers are plotting a coup to overthrow the government. Working with a small circle of reliable and loyal officials, President Lyman tries to get the evidence of Scott's treachery and stop him.

Description: The Belgian detective Hercule Poirot boards the Orient Express. One of the passengers requests his protection, but Poirot declines. The next day the passenger is found dead in his compartment and Poirot is asked to solve the case. The train is forced to stop due to a snow drift blocking the tracks. This gives him a few hours to figure out the murderer's identity before the local police take over the investigation. During his investigation, Poirot discovers that many of the passengers have some connection to a 5 year old case where an infant was kidnapped and murdered in which the mastermind escaped prosecution. This lead to the death (during childbirth) of the mother and the suicide of her father. This could be the vital clue to crack the case, but can he do it in time?
