Description: Leopold Kroner, formerly of Colby Enterprises, is released after five years in prison for embezzlement. Andrew Colby, claiming that Kroner has threatened him, hires lawyer Bob Regan as a secret bodyguard. Sure enough, Kroner turns up in Colby's room with a gun, and Regan kills him. Then Regan, who sticks around to romance Colby's secretary Noel, begins to suspect he's been used...

Description: Having been discharged from the Marines for a hayfever condition before ever seeing action, Woodrow Lafayette Pershing Truesmith (Eddie Bracken) delays the return to his hometown, feeling that he is a failure. While in a moment of melancholy, he meets up with a group of Marines who befriend him and encourage him to return home to his mother by fabricating a story that he was wounded in battle with honorable discharge. They make him wear a uniform complete with medals and is pushed by his new friends into accepting a Hero's welcome when he gets home where he is to be immortalized by a statue that he doesn't want, has songs written about his heroic battle stories, and ends up unwillingly running for mayor. Despite his best efforts to explain the truth, no one will listen.

Description: This dramatization of a factual incident opens in a quiet Connecticut town where much loved local priest, Father Lambert, is shot and killed on the street in broad daylight, the police come under great pressure to find the shooter and bring him to justice. They extradite John Waldren who was arrested in a nearby state and question him unrelentingly until he's completely exhausted and signs a confession. District Attorney Henry Harvey is then put on the case and faces political opposition in his attempt to prove Waldron's innocence. He lays out the evidence in such a way as to try and prove Waldren's innocence.
