Description: Beautiful thief Elizabeth Lipp and criminal genius Walter Harper put together a plan to steal an emerald-encrusted dagger from Istanbul's Topkapi Palace. As part of their crew, they hire small-time hustler Arthur Simon Simpson to act as their fall guy. Description: Returning home to Fresno after the war, working class Nick Garcos is full of vim and vigor with a handful of cash to show for it and an armload of gifts for his family and his girl, Polly Faber, the two who plan to get married. Nick's enthusiasm is dampened when he sees that his father, Yanko Garcos, who transported produce - he buying directly from farmers to transport and sell to wholesalers at produce markets - has suffered at the hands of San Francisco wholesaler, Mike Figlia. Yanko is not totally certain that Figlia bilked him out of the payment for what was Yanko's final shipment - Yanko drunk at the time, he awakening with no money - but is certain that it was Figlia who got him drunk which Figlia arguably did to bilk him out of said payment and which led to the traffic accident resulting in the loss of his legs. Vowing revenge for what Figlia did to his father, Nick senses an opportunity upon meeting another produce transporter, Ed Kinney, with who he plans to partner in an upcoming shipment of much sought out apples. In the process, Nick discovers that among the mostly honest and up front people in the business, there are a few solely out to make a buck by whatever means, including cheating and stealing, such as Figlia. While not in the business, who may fall into that unscrupulous category is Rica, a party girl who Nick meets in the vicinity of the produce market where Figlia has his operation, she who sometimes seems to be on Nick's side in wanting to help him, but who he sometimes suspects may in reality be in Figlia's back pocket in her needy nature.

Description: The film starts with a drunk being knocked out and thrown into the river. A woman is discovered dead in her bathtub by her maid. It's determined chloroform was involved in her death. Enter Lt. Muldoon, whose precinct gets involved in the investigation. Muldoon and his right hand man, Det. Jimmy Halleran, also find out jewelry is missing. The dead woman Jean Dexter, a fashion model, leads the police to a Dr. Stoneman, a man that loved her. At the same time, another detective discovers a cigarette case that points to another man, Frank Niles, who also appears to be involved. The drunk in the river was a jewelry thief and he, in turn, points to Harmonica Willie, a tough guy with a criminal record.

Description: Harry Fabian (Richard Widmark) is a London hustler with ambitious plans that never work out. Description: After five years in prison, Tony le Stéphanois meets his dearest friends Jo and the Italian Mario Ferrati, who invite Tony to steal a couple of jewels from the show-window of the famous Mappin and Webb Ltd, but he declines. Tony finds his former girlfriend Mado, who became the lover of Louis Grutter, gangster owner of the L' Âge d' Or nightclub, and he humiliates and beats her for being unfaithful. Then he calls Jo and Mario and proposes a burglary of the safe of the jewelry. They invite the Italian specialist in safes and elegant wolf Cesar to join their team and they plot a perfect heist.
